The University of Arizona and the Trident School of Languages offer this four-week study of Japanese language and culture. The program is designed for students who want to improve their Japanese skills while experiencing Japanese culture and history. Each week of the program includes 16.5 hours of Japanese language classes, 4.5 hours of Japanese culture classes, and field trips to historic sites including Kyoto, Japan's ancient capital. Greenheart Travel's Independent Homestay Program focuses exclusively on the short-term homestay experience. Participants gain special insight into the host country's society through experiencing daily life, customs, and values. Welcoming volunteer host families provide room and board and friendship for 1 - 4 weeks. Participants will be received as a member of the family and will be involved in the daily activities of that family.
