Custom Passage
Passage believes that our clients should be the primary architects of its programs. In this way, clients can use their own interests and creativity to ensure that their overseas experience envelops everything that they desire. We work with clients to create customized trips for individuals, groups, businesses, and schools. We can incorporate any or all of our usual components-home stay, internships, language learning, seminars, trekking and exploration-and design and develop a program to...

Your study of this changing region is based in Kathmandu and is augmented by field excursions to rural areas in the lower Himalayas and the Terai. Through an...
Nepal: Tibetan and Himalayan People
Through thematic lectures and field work, students explore issues of cultural preservation, religious revival, and sub-regional geopolitics and are challenged to consider the contemporary and historic linkages connecting different Himalayan communities. Questions of self-identification and recognition, as well as issues of diaspora, exile, and migration, are important topics for analysis in this program. From the program base in Nepal, students gain access to a rich array of academic resources throughout the Kathmandu Valley and beyond, learning from prominent Tibetan and Newar Buddhist scholars, as well as regional, ethnic (Sherpa and Tamang), and community experts.
Personal Passage

Unlike traveling to a new land alone, we give the support, contacts, and basic means to know a place and a culture intimately. There are...
