Covering 0.5% of the world's land area, Central America contains 5% of all know biodiversity on the planet. The region is home to over 30 indigenous and ethnic communities with a cultural heritage rich in creativity and resistance. During this program you will experience life living with a family and studying Spanish in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala; studying liberation theology in San Salvador, El Salvador; and cultural conflict and diverse approaches to sustainable development in Managua, Nicaragua.
