Location:
Our campus has a very attractive location, we could say that it is an urban campus. just a few blocks from the historical downtown, this is ideal for the student who wants to know the real life of a middle Mexican city.

It is perfectly well communicated towards different points of the city, you can move around easily to shopping centers, movie theaters, night clubs, etc.

The public transportation in Puebla is comprehensive and quite affordable at 4.00 Mexican pesos per trip.

Founded in 1973 the UPAEP (Universidad Popular Autonoma Del Estado De Puebla) has an environment with a traditional flavor as the University is deeply rooted in the communities of the state of Puebla. The University was founded at the request of the people of Puebla in order to serve the people in the community. The University, noted for its academic excellence and the number of accredited programs, received the Secretary of Education's 2006 Institution of Academic Excellence Award. Then in 2008 the University was granted the award for Institutional Development and Strength by the Secretary of Education.

Because there are several Universities in Puebla, there is a bustling student life in the city. UPAEP enrolls 7,000 undergraduates and 1300 graduate students. Students come from all over Mexico, from several other Latin American and European countries, and from the U.S. as well. The UPAEP neighborhood provides students with the opportunity to congregate after classes in one of the numerous cafes around the campus. The University has several sports teams and opportunities for exercise and workouts. The campus is organized around an attractive central quad and is truly an urban campus in and of the city, a private University whose mission is to serve the public community.
