The University at Albany offers study abroad opportunities in Puerto Rico through its partnership with the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon in San Juan. Originally established in 1880 and renamed the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon in 1976, USC offers both undergraduate and graduate studies in the humanities, social and natural sciences, and education. USC is particularly well known for its program in communications.

The University is located in San Juan on a compact campus within sight of both the ocean and the city. Most buildings are modern, while others are considered historical monuments. In addition to classroom space, the campus features a well-stocked library, a computing center, a student center, and athletic facilities, including an Olympic pool.
