Description
Study Chinese language, literature, and culture with Towson University in summer 2012. Participants will explore Chinese culture and society through visits to both historical and contemporary sites and experience first-hand how Chinese arts and literature are embedded and influenced by China's natural landscapes. Students will gain an understanding of the integration of the traditional and the modern, the East and the West, and the local and the global through a series of comparative studies.
Highlights
Participants will spend time in Beijing, Anhui, and Jiangxi and will take Chinese language classes to handle everyday life in China. Program highlights include excursions to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Great Wall of China.
