Description

Study in Greece in Summer 2011 with Towson University. Program participants will examine how ancient Greek myth - as it appears in literature, art, and architecture - has combined with symbolic space in order to communicate a range of cultural ideologies over the course of history. Through visits to historical sites, musuems, and archaeological ruins, students will have the opportunity to consider ethical, religious, and political issues that are identified with ancient sites in Greece.

Highlights

The program features visits to Athens, Tolo, Corinth, Olympia, Paros, Delphi, and Delos where students will explore the symbolic spaces of ancient ruins and art. Highlights include visits to the Acropolis, the National Archaeological Museum, the Palace of Mycenae, Epidaurus and more.
