Description

Discover the history and culture of Central Europe through action learning in urban laboratories of Prague, Wroclaw, Krakow and Berlin. This program is designed to help you understand global processes of change and learn how to take action to inspire local transformations. You will spend the majority of your time learning in and exploring the Polish city of Wroclaw, a former German metropolis that has experienced some of the most dramatic upheavals of recent European history. Take an urban quest to the nearby capitals of Berlin and Prague, and the former royal city of Krakow to bring a comparative perspective to the hands-on learning experience in Wroclaw. In addition to action-oriented learning of the Urban Research Seminar, you will also delve into the iconic arts and literature that shaped Central Europe's history and politics over the 20th century. You may have never heard of Wroclaw before, but you will feel tied to the city and transformed by this unique experience.
