Description

From the top of the Andes to the Southern Cone, this unique two-site program is designed to introduce you to the complex cultural, historical, political, and ethnic diversity of South America. Following an introductory field-study seminar, most students will begin four weeks of intensive Spanish language study at the CEDEI Institute in Cuenca, Ecuador. A small, artsy city, Cuenca is known for its breathtaking mountain geography and the warmth of both its climate and indigenous peoples. The remainder of the semester unfolds with your choice of classes at the prestigious University of Chile in cosmopolitian Santiago de Chile.
