Description

Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University provides programs for the students who intend to learn Russian language (individually or in a group). We could create customized study programs.

Centre of Russian language, Culture and Literature offers various short-term and long-term courses designed for students interested in studying Russian language, culture, history or art. Requests for the tailor-made programs should be made in advance.

The training in the Center is implemented the year round. A distinctive feature of that is integrated in the educational process of the foreign partner-high schools. It determines oscillations in terms of courses from 4 weeks to 1 year according to the programs of the partner-universities. Typically the students come for one semester.

Highlights

This program is open to all students in good standing and requires NO previous knowledge of the Russian Language. Students are required to take the intensive Russian Language course while at St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University and must take one or more of additional courses.

To ensure that students derive maximum benefit from their period of study the University has made certain requirements:
- Students must enroll for an intensive Russian Language course (10 hours a week)
- Students are placed in groups according to the results of the assessment test on arrival
- Students can enroll for two or three additional courses (in total 4 hours per week)
- There are a maximum 10 students per language class

* Housing
Housed in the comfortable residence hall for foreign students at the St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University, students live in the two-rooms suites, two students per room, four students per suit, with kitchenette (stove, microwave and refrigerator), toilet, and bath tub/shower in each suite.

* Cultural activities
The Centre organizes a wide range of cultural and social events during the semester, including visits to some of many famous museums in St. Petersburg, such as the Hermitage and visits to former czarist palaces such as Peterhof and Pavlovsk and social events with Russian students at the University.
