Our school was founded in 1976 and is located in the old historic part of the city, housed in a typical old style building.

The school is on the 4th floor over looking the narrow streets of the old city and is within strolling distance to all amenities, including small gift shops, bars, cafe's and the small street market.

Most places of interest are also walking distance including the Chateau Frontenac and many people take the opportunity to go skiing on the weekends, during the winter months.

The school offers a friendly family atmosphere, with professional teachers and has seven classrooms, social area, computers and all students have access to the internet and e-mail.

Students come to study from Europe, Central and South America and it is very popular with North Americans, who are looking to find a french atmosphere on their door step. The average age of the students are 25 and the minimum age is 18.

Our programs cater for all language levels from absolute beginners to the more advanced, include the use of course materials and provide a variety of options to enhance your program.

Each student will be expected to take a short placement test on the first Monday morning of the course (unless a complete beginner), to determine the students language level and ensure placement in the correct class.

Highlights

Located about 400km from the Gulf of St.Lawrence, Québec is one of the world's most picturesque cities and is the capital of the province of Quebec.

The city is rich in history and tradition and has a European flavor.

You will enjoy the narrow cobble stoned streets, boutiques, excellent restaurants, typical street cafes and shaded squares emphasize the European air of the 'Upper Town'. In the 'Lower Town', the network of 17th-century streets centered on Place Royale has recently been restored.

Quebec is the only North American city, north of Mexico, to have maintained its fortifications.

With its old city walls, the characteristic green copper roofs and fortified Citadel, UNESCO declared the provincial capital a World Heritage site in 1985. It is the cradle of French culture in Canada with a 95% French-speaking population.

In addition to the Old World charm of the capital city of La Belle Province, Quebec also bills itself as the World's Snow Capital in the Winter months.
