Interstudy provides a wide range of semester and yearlong study abroad opportunities throughout Ireland. Our partnerships in the British Isles date to our founding in 1980 and place Interstudy among the most experienced providers of facilitated direct enrollment study abroad programs in the UK and Ireland. Students can enroll in a broad range of courses and actively participate in university life while enjoying Interstudy organized excursions and staying connected to in country staff.
As Ireland's second largest city, Cork successfully combines a cosmopolitan big city vibe with the feel of a small university town. Everything is easily accessible and a full range of amenities spanning recreation, shopping, sport, and business is right at your doorstep. Cork's rich tradition of music, art and theatre is reflected throughout the city. If you are a sports enthusiast, you'll find wonderful opportunities close by for mountaineering, hiking, water, and adventure sports. Cork city is also just a short hop away from West Cork and Kerry, home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland. Corks accessibility makes it an ideal place in which to live and study. With international air and ferry connections, plus numerous domestic bus and train options, travel within and outside Ireland is simple and cost effective.

University College Cork is a progressive, dynamic university and one of Ireland's leading research institutes. Its diverse student body represents over 60 countries and is spread over four different units: Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences; Business & Law; Medicine & Health; Science, Engineering & Food Science. The University recently became the first tertiary level educational institution in the world to be accredited with the prestigious international "Green Flag" award thanks to the student-led sustainable Green Campus program.
Coursework at University College Cork (UCC) is offered by the four colleges: the College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences; the College of Business & Law; the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science; and the College of Medicine & Health. As a visiting student, you may register for courses across the entire undergraduate curriculum with the exception of medicine and health sciences. Mathematics is only available to full-year and spring students. An Early Start Fall option designed for international students offers for-credit classes in Irish Archaeology, Folklore, History, Literature, Music, and European Marketing and Management.
With 82 thriving student societies and over 3,020 society events held on campus each year, society life is at the heart of UCC. Sports facilities are extensive and include a gym, weight room, squash courts, pool, climbing wall, synthetic track, and facilities for tennis, volleyball, soccer, basketball, continental handball, rowing and windsurfing. You will live a short walk from campus in suite-style UCC accommodation, typically in a single room with shared kitchen, living room and bath.
