Interstudy provides a wide range of semester and yearlong study abroad opportunities throughout Ireland. Our partnerships in the British Isles date to our founding in 1980 and place Interstudy among the most experienced providers of facilitated direct enrollment study abroad programs in the UK and Ireland. Students can enroll in a broad range of courses and actively participate in university life while enjoying Interstudy organized excursions and staying connected to in country staff.

Despite its small size, Northern Ireland has an intriguing heritage enriched by both Irish and British ties and a complex history that has fascinated people across the world. A culturally vibrant city with one of the lowest crime rates in Europe, Belfast combines the excitement of big city life with the friendliness of small town living. Belfast boasts a variety of theatres, cinemas, museums, art galleries, pubs and clubs. Queens University is located in lively South Belfast with all the entertainment you could want: pubs, clubs, theaters, bookstores, bistros and fashionable shops. Fall students will enjoy Ireland's largest arts festival, the Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen's. With excellent transport links to destinations all over Ireland and two international airports, Belfast gives you easy access to Britain and the rest of Europe.

Teaching and research at Queen's are carried out in 21 academic Schools within three Faculties, the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences; and the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Life Sciences. As a Study Abroad student you will be permitted to enroll in most subject areas, with the exception of Medicine and Dentistry. Queen's is a renowned leader in all branches of Engineering, Agriculture, Physics, Music, Archaeology, and Irish Studies. If you are eager to explore Ireland and Irish culture, Queen's offers a comprehensive range of classes with an Irish perspective: history, literature, politics, anthropology and sociology.

The Queen's Student Union is home to restaurants, shops, travel agency, nightclub, leisure entertainment and other useful attractions. It is also the center for social events and more than 140 campus clubs and societies. Queen's athletic facilities are also first-rate with swimming pools, numerous playing fields, weight rooms, squash courts and other sporting amenities. You will live within walking distance of campus at the university's Mount Charles Halls of Residence in a self-catered single room with a shared kitchen, bathroom and living area.
