Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world.

Located in the coastal town of Makuhari New City in Chiba Prefecture, the IES Center is just thirty minutes by commuter rail to the heart of Tokyo. With major corporations located in skyscrapers near the beach and Japanese gardens, Makuhari New City offers students the ideal combination of the technologically advanced, yet culturally rich Japan. Summer is a great time to take advantage of Makuhari's coastal location, while still having access to central Tokyo.

Highlights
