Description
This program, developed for Pre-Medical, Medical, Nursing, and Spanish majors with an intermediate to advanced level of Spanish, seeks to improve students' language skills for better communication with Spanish-speaking patients in the US.
Students will attend Spanish grammar courses and Medical Spanish courses with a strong emphasis on the vocabulary and syntax necessary for successful interaction with an increasing Hispanic patient population.
This exciting program also allows students to become involved in volunteer opportunities in the health care sector in Mexico. For instance, some students may get the chance to interact with patients at the CRIT, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center for children.
