Description

LIU Global offers an experiential, year-long program in language, culture and independent study. The year includes field trips, seminars, workshops and field study that introduces the key aspects of Chinese history, politics, society and culture. The China Center is on the Zhejiang University campus in Hangzhou, famous for the West Lake which, according to legend, was formed by a pearl that fell to earth. The center has computers, internet access, community room, library, social area and classrooms.

Highlights

Recent field trips have included visits to Nepal, Beijing, Tian Tai (central Zheijiang), Putuoshan (an island in the southeast with isolated Buddhist temples and beaches), Xian (to view the terra cotta warriors of the imperial tomb) and the Yunnan province in Southwestern China.
