Highlights
Buddy System Program
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Buddy System is an organization that facilitates the cultural integration and social life of foreign students in the Czech Republic. Students from abroad are offered the opportunity to pair up with a Czech student who will help them to settle more easily into the new environment. The organization helps upon arrival and throughout the student's stay, especially during the first few days. Foreign students are met at the airport or the train/bus station, accompanied to the dormitory, and provided with a basic orientation to the city and school. The organization also helps with school and other formalities (school ID card, public transport pass, etc.). The Buddy System organizes trips, meetings, parties and other activities for students throughout the entire academic year.
Academic and Cultural Excursions
CESP study tours - CESP students can take part in up to 3 weekend field trips to various cities and sites in the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. Study tours are held as a part of students' individual courses. Attending these tours is an important part of being a student at CESP and gaining practical knowledge about the Czech Republic. Examples of one day and two day trips taken in past semesters include: Karlovy Vary, Loket castle, Frantiskovy Lazne, Marianske Lazne, South Moravia and Cesky Krumlov.
U.S. University Transcript option is available through our School of Record, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad offers a multi-day Bridging Cultures Program (in country). This program blends discussion, cultural exploration, and social gatherings for an informative and fun introduction to the country in which students will be living and studying abroad.
