Description

It's no wonder why Europe is among most students' top destination to study abroad. The region is filled with captivating cultures, languages, architecture, art, history, and so much more! GlobaLinks Learning Abroad (formerly known as EuroLearn) offers direct enrollment programs that give you the opportunity to choose from a wide range of academic areas, live and study alongside local students, and immerse yourself in European culture.

UCSC Milan offers three different programs for international students seeking study abroad opportunities in Italy during the months of June and July. Each track offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in Italian life and culture in the thriving city of Milan, Italy.

The Italian Language and Culture track includes 60 hours of Italian language instruction at the beginner's or intermediate level and 40 hours of culture based instruction (in English). The Business track is taught (in English) by both academic and professional experts and offers interaction and up-close exposure to the best practices of the Italian entrepreneurial system. Particular attention will be paid to fashion & design, tourism, agribusiness, art, small and medium size enterprises (SMEs), industrial clusters and entrepreneurship. You also have the option to combine the language and business courses in the 6 week program, Italian Language & Business. No previous language experience is necessary.

Located in the city center of Milan, the UCSC campus is within walking distance of many of Milan’s historical, cultural, and religious sites: the Duomo, Santa Maria delle Grazie (Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper), Castello Sforzesco, and many more.

Regardless of which academic track you select, you will have the opportunity to explore Milan and the surrounding areas during your time abroad. Examples of program excursions include visits to the Lombardy region, Lake Como, Cinque Terre, and Florence. These excursions may or may not be included in the program fee. You will also have weekends free in order to spend more time in Milan and/or take advantage of Milan's close proximity and ease of travel to other parts of Europe.
