Description

Founded in 1989, Enforex is the largest organization in Spain & Latin America specialized in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Enforex Havana is unique in that we do not have a central school. Instead, we provide an intimate, personalized learning environment organized by our well trained, highly educated teachers of Spanish as a foreign language.

Classes are held either in the teacher's home, in the house of the host family or, for certain mini group courses, in a cultural center. All homes and centers are located in Vedado, a safe, residential area of the city full of Art Deco buildings and murals by famous Cuban artists.

The following Spanish courses are available in Havana:

* Intensive Group Course (20 lessons per week)
* Super Intensive Group Course (20 group + 5 private lessons per week)
* Super Intensive Group Course (20 group + 10 private lessons per week)
* Private Spanish Lessons (20 lessons per week)
* Cuban Dance + Spanish (+5 lessons per week)
* Cuban Music + Spanish (+5 lessons per week)

Minimum student age: 18 years old

Highlights

Havana is as much a capital of faded glory as of high, unbridled spirits; where little is allowed but anything is possible; a city defined by its contradictions and struggles that is slowly rising like a phoenix from the ashes. Seize the moment to study Spanish in Havana and get to know this fascinating city at a stimulating time in its development.

Havana contains a beautiful pastiche of architecture, from UNESCO protected Baroque and Neoclassical monuments to the Vedado neighborhood, where most of our host families live and Art Deco buildings abound. You can also head to the northern shore and amble along the popular Malecón, a stretch of coastline where natives and visitors alike gather to walk, mingle, revel in the sight of Havana's landmark buildings and gaze out onto crystal blue waters.

Cuba Cultural Activities

Our Spanish schools in Havana, Santiago de Cuba and Trinidad organize activities in the same fashion.

Students also gather at a meeting point every night at 8:30pm. Here they decide if they want to go out, and where they want to go, etc. Alternatively, they may choose to stay where they are to socialize and play a game of domino.

Some of the most common activities are:

* A guided tour of the city (Havana, Santiago de Cuba or Trinidad)
* Swimming pool
* Beach trips
* Party night at a teacher's home
* Dance & music classes
* Santeria (you can witness Santeria or consult with Santeria priests)

Cuba Weekend Excursions

Every Thursday at 8:30pm, students gather at a meeting point to make plans for the weekend. Students that want to go on the same excursion can travel together and consequently reduce transportation costs. Taxis are usually the best method of transportation for excursions around Cuba.

The most popular excursions are:

* The cities of Trinidad, Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Varadero, Viñales, Pinar del Río...
* Horseback riding
* Snorkeling
* Boating excursion

Prices average about 25 USD for day trips and 50 USD for weekend trips.
