Highlights

Digital Hollywood University has recently established an anime course for students wanting to specialize in anime. Our anime course is unique in that students can learn directly from professionals who are actually working on the front lines of the anime industry. This course helps students acquire practical skills for the anime industry and familiarize themselves with the fusion of hand-drawn sketches and CG that is a characteristic of recent Japanese anime.

It also comprehensively covers anime as a business, including not only actual production skills but also anime scenario writing, anime dramatization, and anime production theories, from the perspective of directors and producers. In 2006, we also established the International Anime Research Institute in order to conduct researches on Japanese anime.

Digital Hollywood University's Mission Statement

Digital Hollywood University is a four-year university where students learn Japanese digital content in the field of anime, games, computer graphics (CG), films, website design, and graphic design. Students either choose to focus on a field of their professional interest, or learn multiple fields. We employ a curriculum from the combination of the cutting edge technologies, the latest business theories, and a real-life case study in order to develop outstanding human resources. We also adopt Japanese pop culture as an academic discipline and provides education on topics ranging from the latest production methods to relevant business structures. Our instructors are professionals and many of them are still active in each field, ensuring that students have access to practical business strategies as well as the latest technologies in the related fields. We not only forcus on Digital content field but also place high priority on English skill. On the third year, we strongly recommend students to take a study abroad program at a partnership university we have a alliance with.
