Dates: The 4-week summer program generally begins in mid-July and ends in mid-August.
Description
This 4 week summer university study abroad program was designed especially for students who are interested to combine German language classes with university level courses related to German politics, history, society and culture.
All university courses offered in a combination of German and English are possible.
Highlights
In addition to the language lessons and course, a variety of cultural field trips, visits and hands-on experiences in the summer program, are included:
- Tour through Berlins Potsdam neighborhood
- City tour of Berlin by boat on the Spree River
- Visit the Reichstag (German Parliament)
- Lecture and visit to the Jewish Museum
- Tour of the Berlin Theater
- Foreign films, weekly cultural excursions and other events will also be
organized by the Humboldt Universität
CEPA Bonus:
- 3 day / 2 night trip to Munich: Includes a round trip train ticket or fl ight from Berlin to Munich, public transportation pass, shared accommodation at a youth hotel/hostel, breakfast, hop on hop off bus tour, entrance to the Deutsches Museum with public tour, dinner at a typical Bavarian brewery - the Hofbräuhaus, & a tour of the famous English Garden.
- An on-site CEPA coordinator will be available to you during the program for assistance and will meet with you regularly.
- CEPA arranges an airport pickup and transfer to your student residence on your arrival day.
- Students receive a public transportation pass for the city of Berlin for the duration of the program.
- Cell phone for Fall or Spring semester students for the duration of the program (minutes not included)
