Are you serious about your Spanish language skills for your studies or career in the Medical Industry? Then consider this comprehensive language and academic immersion summer program in beautiful Costa Rica! Students of all language levels who are dedicated to acquiring specialized Spanish language skills in the medical field will work through the summer at improving their skills in the medical industry. The course focuses on developing the ability to effectively communicate with patients through intensive practice of speaking and listening comprehension, along with some reading and grammar, all set within a medical context.

Highlights

The capital city of Costa Rica, San Jose boasts about 1.4 million people and is situated in the Central Valley - guarded by majestic volcanoes and tropical rainforests. The city also is just a few hours away from the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean. San Jose is considered the cradle of Costa Rica's 186-year-old democracy, and the country has not had a standing army since 1948. Costa Rica takes great pride in the fact that it has more teachers than policemen. Its former President, Oscar Arias, received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1987. Renowned for its natural beauty, enlightened conservation and friendly people, San Jose draws visitors from all over the world. CEA students can look forward to experiencing the Costa Rican attractions and lifestyle through trips to Arenal Volcano and hot spring pools, zip lining through Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and experiencing first-hand the unique, Jamaican English culture in Puerto Viejo.
