This program is ideal for second-year students not only seeking core courses in their science or engineering major, but also looking to fulfill general education electives in math, sciences, and humanities. Experience the attractive climate and lifestyle of the French Riviera while you immerse yourself into all that France has to offer. Choose your courses from a diverse range of electives, thereby earning credit toward your major or additional graduation requirements.
Highlights
The French Riviera, known in France as the Côte d'Azur, boasts a sub-tropical climate, sandy beaches, vineyards and an average of 300 days of sunshine a year. World-class museums, the Nice Carnival, Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix make the French Riviera an exciting Mediterranean city in which to study abroad. Discovered by Greek sailors around 400 BC, it has been popular over the years with the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Gertrude Stein, Coco Chanel, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Pablo Picasso - all regular visitors. Follow in their footsteps as you explore the people and culture of the French Riviera through excursions to places like Monte Carlo, Grasse, Cannes, and/or San Remo. Hone your French Language skills as you get to know the French through an internship at the Cannes Film Festival (Spring only), or learn how to cook authentic French Riviera cuisine from a well-respected chef. Learn the art of wine tasting from a French sommelier and participate in language exchange with other French students.
