Description
Students are given an opportunity to explore the richness of modern life in Ireland during this incredible, comprehensive study abroad program. Academics will be focused in a unique context where U.S. and European students come together to share the study abroad experience. Dublin provides the backdrop - exciting, dynamic, young, diverse, a place where the old and the new blend in perfect harmony. Students are driven by a sequence of on-site activities, projects and team tasks that help them learn by doing.
Highlights
Built by the Vikings on the banks of the river Liffey, Dublin boasts the youngest population in Europe, more than 100 different nationalities, a rich cultural, literary and artistic heritage, and some of the most famous pubs in the world. Hundreds of U.S. companies have made Dublin their home, recognizing the strategic gateway Ireland provides to the European Union. Explore the city's centuries of British influence through its elegant Georgian squares, spacious parks and impressive public buildings. Walk and live where many famous Irish playwrights, writers, musicians and singers found their inspiration. Get to know first-hand Dublin's modernday mix of recent immigrants from Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and the Baltic States. The opportunities to examine Dublin's traditional and modern culture are endless.
