Description
Design a course curriculum that works with your major, allowing you the pleasure of taking courses that count while enjoying all that London has to offer. Small enough, with just under 4,000 students, yet large enough to provide unique course offerings and a vibrant campus life, St Mary's University College is a great option for those who want to experience a mix of the city and suburbia. Students can visit London when they choose, yet focus on their studies on the suburban campus-based environment. With academic strengths in communications, drama, education, sports, and tourism, to name a few, students can design their own semester to meet the needs of their major as well as general education requirements.
Established in 1850, St. Mary's is located approximately 30 minutes by train from central London, in an area of Southwest London close to green space. A personalized approach combined with an active campus vibe, from events organized by the Students' Union to a range of sporting opportunities, complement your academic studies.
St. Mary's is also on the grounds of Strawberry Hill, a spectacular Gothic mansion complete with turrets, stained glass windows, lofty vaulted ceilings. Once the home of Sir Horace Walpole, the son of Britain's first prime minister, today the home is a museum and tourist attraction. The River Thames runs along the edge of the campus grounds providing a really lovely setting on sunny days.
