Description

In this program, students/participants study the successes and challenges of community development projects in Cameroon. The core of the program is a Community Development (CD) Seminar led by the University of Buea (UB) Lead Faculty, Agborbechem Peter Tambi, and developed in collaboration with AEA.

Throughout the program, students engage in a service learning project, applying theory into practice, while pursuing their individual disciplinary interests. Students will also select an additional three courses offered by faculty at UB to support their work in the CD Seminar and their practical experience. Integration into UB provides students with the opportunity to interact and learn with Cameroonian students and professors. The AEA Program Advisor, Kelly Brannan Trail, co-teaches the CD Seminar and guides students through an extensive on-site orientation to life in Buea.
