Description

Your summer study in Russia is definitely unprecedented if you are in the wondrous city of St. Petersburg. The city has a very European vibe as it was founded by Peter the Great as the country's looking glass to the West. St. Petersburg maintains its Baroque heritage enamored with bridges, parks, and fantastic architecture. Check out some of the world's finest art collections, savor world-class ballet and music performances, and take pride in the city's splendor.

For four weeks AIFS students take courses taught in English and Russian in art history, history, political science, sociology, and Russian language at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.

AIFS program fees include the basics and the extras: tuition housing, a meal allowance, London visit, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if selected, a trip to Moscow, and more.

Highlights

Spend 5 weeks studying in the most European Russian city. Founded in 1703 as Russia's Window to the West, it still retains many of the Baroque splendors of the former empire, more bridges than Venice and a fairytale atmosphere of gold-domed churches, elaborate palaces and riverside parks.

Earn up to 7 credits at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, where you will study Russian language plus courses taught in English in art history, history, political science and sociology.

During your stay, you will enjoy visits such as Russian, Dostoevsky and Hermitage museums and Pavlovsk and Yusupov Palaces. Expand your horizons with excursions to Moscow and London, England.
