Description
Enroll in a study program at the world's leading institution for teaching education and educational development--the Institute of Education (IOE). IOE was founded in 1902 as a teacher training college in London and now, the organization offers world-class teaching and research-oriented programs and a full course at the University of London.
Its distinguished history and current mission are rooted in a commitment to social justice and the power of education to transform. For over a century, it has played a leading role in education in London, the United Kingdom and globally. Now, located in the heart of London's intellectual life - a few minutes walk from University College London, Bloomsbury Square and the British Museum - it attracts students from almost a hundred countries, drawn by its leading-edge reputation for excellence in research and teaching.
At the core of the Institute's work is a commitment to the practice of teaching - to develop excellence in its own teaching but also to develop excellence in the teaching of others. The Institute collaborates closely with London schools and colleges to train over 1000 graduates each year as primary, secondary and community college teachers. It works in close partnership with some of the most dynamic and diverse schools in the world.
