Description

Studying language and culture in France? Grenoble embraces you with a picturesque and stunning environment for your study.

Grenoble is small enough to feel like a town but large enough to offer all the amenities of a busy city. Built on the banks of two alpine rivers, medieval buildings and cobbled streets give a romantic air to the older part of town, while museums, theaters, cultural festivals, cafés and bistros explain why Grenoble is the leading city in the region.

AIFS students take courses at the University of Grenoble School of Languages and Letters. The program concentrates on French language and culture and offers courses, taught in both English and French, in art history, business administration, economics, history, literature, and political science, plus French language. A year of college French is required to attend this program.

Fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing in a homestay, meals, cultural activities, excursions to Venice, Paris, and Provence, airfare if selected, services of an on-site Resident Director, and more.

Highlights

Host to the 1968 Winter Olympics, Grenoble is a haven for those who love the outdoors, with access to hiking trails, lakes and ski slopes that are characteristic of the Alps.
