Description
Paris, the City of Lights, offers more than just stunning art, amazing tourist sites and iconoclastic photo ops! The city also provides an amazing array of opportunities to experience food, to learn about food, and to understand the highly integrated and coordinated system that gets food from farmers' fields to Paris' restaurants and grocery retailers. In Paris, the market streets, the quaint bakeries, the fresh fruit stands, and innumerable cafés, bistros and restaurants are an enticing reward for any student who wants to combine the simple joys of good food with a scholarly pursuit of gaining a greater understanding of the cultural, political and economic context of France's agricultural and food sectors.
