Central College Abroad Summer: Performing Arts & Culture in Ghana, Africa

Students from all majors will benefit from this immersion experience into Ghana's famous performing arts history. Learn about the important events, formal traditions and historical and cultural issues that have shaped the performing arts in Ghana. Courses are structured around lectures, visits to historical sites and dance, theatre and musical performances. Discover the nationhood of Ghana and how its peoples define and articulate their shared national identity. Students will participate in two courses, Introduction to the Living History of Ghana, and Introduction to Dance and the Performing Arts in Ghana.
