Spanish Language and Culture in Costa Rica

This intensive three-week program offers students the opportunity to advance their Spanish language skills in a total-immersion environment. The program is based in San Jose, Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a small and peaceful country and is an ecological bridge for thousands of wildlife species and plant varieties from North and South America. The vast system of national parks encompasses both beautiful beaches and tropical rainforests. Participants take classes at the Institute for Central American Development Studies (ICADS) and are taught by ICADS staff members. Students will be in class six hours a day, five days a week. The institute is located in a quiet residential neighborhood of Curridabat, where there is a large variety of restaurants, shops and services. ICADS houses a tropical garden, spacious terraces, a library, a computer room, as well as comfortable private study areas.
