New York University in Paris
Founded in 1969 as part of NYU's Center for French Civilization and Culture, NYU in Paris is at the forefront of French-American cultural exchange. The NYU in Paris program has hosted more than 4,500 outstanding undergraduates from over 100 U.S. colleges and universities. Courses are offered in numerous areas, including cinema studies, fine arts, history, literature, and politics. Two distinct programs are designed for students from various disciplines to take courses taught in English or French based on their level of language skills. Students who are fluent in French may enroll in one or more courses taught in French at one of our affiliated institutions in the French university system (Paris I, II, VII, X) and at specialized schools (Institut dÉtudes Politiques, the École Normale Supérieure, the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, and the Institut Catholique).
